Before arriving at Chefchouen, we’ll go by Meknes to visit Volubilus, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. During its heyday in the second century, the ancient city of Volubilis had an estimated population of approximately 20,000 residents. It now has one of Africa’s outstanding Roman churches. It is also famous for its brightly colored floor mosaics.

Afterward, we will drive for another 2 hours to the icon of our Guided Morocco 7 day tour Fes to Marrakech { Chefchouen}. Make a first-stop break for lunch before we drop off our luggage at the hotel.

A local guide of Chefchouen will be coming to lead you from the hotel, taking you on a guided tour of the sites and the hidden secrets of this beautiful blue town. After viewing the sunset from the panoramic viewpoint, the walking tour will conclude at your hotel.

The rest of the day is free for you to explore the souks. Overnight stay in Fes.

Day 4: Fes to Merzouga

Drive around 1.5 hours to Ifrane, which stands in the Middle Atlas Mountains. The city is called the Switzerland of Africa by the locals. Our following stop will be the Azrou Cedar forest to see the friendly Barbary macaque monkey group.

We carry on to Midelt after Azrou. The scenery begins to alter and become significantly more arid at this point. We pause for a quick lunch before continuing the drive to Merzouga Desert. Stop at Ziz Valley’s standpoint; its beauty will take your breath away. Thousands of date and palm trees have grown on the lush riverbank.

Soon, we’ll be driving over the Sahara Desert to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Jump on your camelback and prepare to be astounded by the magical views of the dunes. The best part of the camel trek is when stopping to witness the sunset from the top of the golden dunes.

Following dinner, you will enjoy a beautiful night under the stars, music, dancing, and stargazing. It’s time for your best 7 day tour Fes to Marrakech to say sweet dreams.

We booked with Morocco Travel Tour as our friends had a great experience with them – very glad we followed their advice! On a tour of 7 days, we visited different places – from the old city of Marrakech to the beautiful blue sights of Chefchaouen, we even managed to enjoy the snow on the Atlas Mountains. All Riads we stayed in were beautiful and the people we met were delightful. Very grateful for the tour and highly recommend it!
