Itinerary: Desert Tour from Marrakech in 10 Days

Day 1: Airport Transfer

You next proceed to the Saadian Tombs. Sultan Ahmed El-Mansour of Morocco’s Saadian dynasty reigned from 1554 to 1659. Day 4: Essaouira to Rabat

Day 6: Chefchaouen to Fes

It’s time to bid farewell to Chefchaouen and head to Fez. We’ll be driving for 3 hours via magnificent routes. Arrive in Fez before 11 a.m. to give yourself plenty of time to see this beautiful city.

Fez, or the historical city of Morocco, as it is affectionately known, is one of the best cities to see while traveling in Morocco. Full of history, it is also considered one of Morocco’s most fascinating imperial cities.

You will walk through narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, spices, elaborately woven Berber carpets, and many other Moroccan art pieces. Visit the Mosques, such as the Quaraouiyine Mosque, founded in 859 by Fatima el Fihri. Day 7: Fes to Merzouga

Day 8: Merzouga Desert Dades Valley

The morning will begin with you watching a spectacular sunrise. You will then have breakfast, shower, and ride your camels back to the Merzouga Village. Day 9: Dades Valley to Marrakech

We’ll head to Ouarzazate, a two-hour by car from Dades Valley. We will stop to picture the Taourirt Kasbah and then move to visit the Atlas film studio.

We’d then drive for 40 minutes to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The Kasr is one of the most remarkable and well-preserved ksars in Morocco’s south. The town is well-known for its film industry: Alexander, Gladiator, Babel, and Inception were all partially filmed here.

You will have a tour of this Unesco World Heritage site to see the location of your favorite films. From the edge of the Kasr, you have a magnificent view of the environment. Walk down back to the Village to have lunch. After lunch, we will enjoy the ride through the Tizi N’Tichka pass.

The peak here is 2300 meters above sea level. Pay notice to the colors of the terrain along the way: ocher, pink, gray with green specks, etc. We’ll arrive in Marrakech late afternoon and drop you off at your hotel. Day 10: Transfer to Airport
